1. Scope
This policy applies to Compass Bloom Adventures, the Bloomie internal business-operations tool, and connected services used to understand Compass Bloom's own business performance. Bloomie is not offered as a consumer product and is used only to support Compass Bloom's internal operations.
2. Information we use
When the Compass Bloom Pinterest business account is connected, we may access information Pinterest makes available through its API, including:
- Pin, board, and business-account identifiers and metadata;
- Pin performance such as impressions, saves, clicks, outbound clicks, and engagement;
- Aggregated audience or account analytics made available by Pinterest; and
- Technical information needed to authenticate and maintain the authorized connection.
We may also receive information that someone voluntarily sends to Compass Bloom, such as an email inquiry. We do not use the Pinterest integration to collect payment-card information or passwords.
3. How we use information
Pinterest information is used only for Compass Bloom's internal business analytics and operations, including to:
- Measure which Pins and educational resources are performing well;
- Understand impressions, clicks, saves, traffic, and content trends;
- Prepare internal reports and prioritize future Compass Bloom content;
- Identify broken links or unusual performance changes; and
- Improve Compass Bloom's marketing and customer experience.
Bloomie uses Pinterest data to help operate Compass Bloom. It does not use that data for unrelated advertising or to build profiles for other businesses.
5. Retention and security
We keep connected-platform information only for as long as reasonably needed for internal analytics, recordkeeping, security, or legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect the information we maintain. No internet-based system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your choices
The authorized Pinterest account connection may be revoked through Pinterest's account or app settings. A person may also contact Compass Bloom to ask a privacy question or request deletion of information they directly provided to us. Requests may be subject to identity verification and applicable legal requirements.
Pinterest separately controls its own platform and data practices. Please review Pinterest's privacy policy for information about how Pinterest collects and uses information.
7. Children's privacy
Compass Bloom creates educational resources for families, but the Bloomie Pinterest integration is a business analytics tool. We do not knowingly use it to collect personal information directly from children.
8. Policy updates
We may update this policy as Compass Bloom's tools or practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.
